A Note from Adrienne, Founder of Struesli
Struesli started with an idea in my kitchen and a desire to create something I couldn't find anywhere else. I wanted a better-for-you granola that was more than just granola, something delicious, satisfying, and versatile with no added sweeteners. I also wanted it to easily fit into a variety of dietary lifestyles like my own. I never could have imagined that something I created would become such a meaningful part of so many people's lives.
After four years of building, learning, growing, and navigating many successes and more challenges than I ever anticipated, I've made the difficult decision to bring Struesli to a close.
I am beyond proud of what my team and I built: a truly unique product, a brand that I love, and, most importantly, connections with so many wonderful customers who made Struesli part of their everyday routine.
That last part has meant the most to me. Knowing that Struesli became part of your mornings, daily ritual and your wellness goals is something I will always be grateful for.
The CPG world (Consumer Packaged Goods) is an incredibly competitive and capital-intensive business. Building a great product and earning a loyal customer base are only part of the equation. The costs of manufacturing, building volume and broad distribution, retail, marketing, and competing in an increasingly crowded marketplace can be significant. The path to building a sustainable business can take much longer and require far more capital than you might expect.
I've learned that sometimes in life, you have to know when it's time to take a different path. That doesn't take away from what we've accomplished or how proud I am of what we built. Both can be true.
Thank you for believing in Struesli, for sharing it with others, and for being part of this journey. It has meant more to me than you know.
With gratitude,
Adrienne Lufkin
